Jerry Champlin - Chief Executive Officer

Jerry Champlin

Jerry founded Absolute Performance in 1997 with an initial focus on solving core business application performance and availability challenges. He is responsible for strategic leadership of the company including guiding the continuous evolution of the System Shepherd® APM as a Service Platform.  Champlin serves as a trusted advisor to major clients on topics ranging from applying Application Lifecycle and Service Management best practices to SaaS application design.

Jerry has worked with customers from Conseco Insurance to MD-IT to Business Objects and many others to help align their business requirements with application delivery results.  

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Carleton College and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota.  Jerry is currently a member of the Vistage CEO leadership organization where he contributes actively to the growth and success of other companies while learning new management, selling and marketing techniques from other members.

Harold Montano - Sr. Vice President Sales and Operations

Harold serves as Absolute Performance's Vice President of Sales and is responsible for revenue generation and growth from existing and new customers and channels and business development.

Harold is an Application Lifecycle Management Service and SaaS delivery expert. He has provided IT process guidance based on the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) model to a variety of large-scale IT organizations and has planned and conducted a variety of SAS-70 IT operations process audits.

Prior to joining Absolute Performance, Harold founded and managed an IT services company that developed enterprise management software solutions and provided industry best practices IT process consulting services.

In his previous role as Director for World Wide Qwest Hosting Operations, Montano managed a team of 120 IT professionals and led centralized network and Web hosting operations for 12 international and domestic hosting cyber centers. Highlights of his 15-year career with US West Communications, Inc. include: planning and executing the Automation & Enterprise Management Systems Y2K project; managing the creation and implementation of the original US West "Bridge" for centralized network operations; coordinating data center Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity; and organizing infrastructure support for 40,000+ desktops and Unisys, Tandem, and Unix systems.

A two-time President’s Club recipient for innovations at US West, Montano received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.


Tania McEvoy - Vice President Finance and Human Resources

Tania McEvoyTania is responsible for all Finance, Accounting and Human Resources at Absolute Performance.  Tania brings a very practical execution oriented approach to business operations at Absolute Performance.  She has been responsible for leading the transformation of Absolute Performance from a cash consuming mode to profitability after the Venture Capital and Private Equity markets dried up during mid-2008.  Tania takes great pride in ensuring the employees at Absolute Performance have the tools and support necessary to execute their jobs efficiently and have a lot of fun.  

Prior to joining Absolute Performance in 1999, Tania was a leader in the human resources department at SDS reporting to the CFO.  SDS was successfully sold to Wind River.


Erik Cunningham - Director, Product Development and Engineering

Erik Cunningham

Erik leads Absolute Performance's software engineering efforts and lends his experience in the application performance management space to the company's product direction and market positioning. Taking input from marketing, sales, operations, and the organization's long-term goals, his mandate is to produce well-engineered, tested and feature-rich software in a timely and flexible fashion.  Erik has guided the development and release of System Shepherd version 5 with a capacity for massive scalability due to it's parallel processing architecture and exceptional user experience.

Erik joined Absolute Performance as a software engineer, and has since been focused on refining Absolute's technology, development methodology and team. As the Director of Product Development, he has instituted a hybrid Agile methodology for the development team that allows quick response to market conditions and customer requirements while maintaining a strong focus on market evolution long-term strategic product direction. Having see the market evolve, Erik can leverage his proven ability to architect and deliver scalable, high performance data processing systems and functional user interfaces focused on solving real-world customer operational issues.

Erik attended University of Colorado at Boulder's College of Engineering, in the Computer Science department.


Scott Shafer - Board Member

Scott is an active Board Member and provides exquisite insight and guidance to the executive team in all areas of sales, marketing and business operations.

Scott's 25 years of experience in multi-national companies, business development, operations performance, business process, technology, and successful executive leadership contributed to the business transformation or accelerated growth in revenue and profitability of five companies.

In 2002 Scott was instrumental in the launch of Sherpa Business Solutions, an entrepreneurial business process outsourcing company focused on the utilization of technology and six sigma quality as differentiators in the North American market.  As President of North American operations, Scott focused on innovative growth and investing initiatives until the company was sold to Firstsource (formerly ICICI Onesource) in 2005.  After the successful integration with Firstsource, Scott continued on as Senior Vice President of North American sales where he skillfully guided greater than 40% annual growth.

Prior to Sherpa, Scott was COO for Match Logic which was sold to Excite and held various executive leadership roles at EDS, R.L. Polk & Company and Fiserv.
